The recent court case involving the principal and others at Brighton Secondary College is a shocker as it shows what a lack of empathy towards a group of young students can result in-antisemitism. But claims that robust discussion about Israel-Palestine as inherently antisemitic were rejected by the judge. This has important implications for free speech in the classroom and higher education. It may well be of international interest.
